Read what our guests have said after they stayed at Rainforest
Hideaway, most are pretty happy but there's always someone who had expected
something different or hadn't done their research...
And as every hotel owner knows, there are unhappy people who turn in
to self appointed hotel inspectors on power trips.

Booking.com has only recently introduced the option
for accommodation owners to reply to unfair guest reviews.
If they had this option earlier we could have replied to:
Review: Sloppy surroundings when you arrive (old bus
sitting in the garden, bags of cement...). The motivation of the owner
seems a bit down. Too basic for the price.
Reply: Guests are not supposed to enter the workshop
area, and with our sculpture trail being a continuing work in progress
there will always be bags of cement here. We work seven days a week
here to keep our guests happy, this guest stayed a couple of days
before my annual holidays so that means I had just done a nine month
stint, so forgive me for being a little tired. Due to stubborn government
denying us basic services like electricity we can not offer many things
that are standard in other rooms around the world, such as bar fridge,
TV, aircon etc. This does not mean we save money, but due to our remote
location without basic services we incur a lot of extra expenses to
run this place.
Review: Did not like listening to the frogs all night
long 4 nights in a row bit to much for the price
Reply: We are deep in the rainforest, how can I explain
to the frogs that they have to be quiet because someone has paid for
Review:A bit of a meagre breakfast, weak internet connection
in the guest room
Reply: We had just returned from a 300 km. roundtrip
to the Cairns markets to buy the biggest possible selection of exotic
fruits, and we do the breakfast buffet style so you can eat as much
as you want, so I don't understand the meagre comment. The wifi signal
has been improved since then with a relocation of the router but at
least it is free, when I stay in Cairns I always pay around the $5
per hour for wifi.
What this guest did not mention was that we went out of our way with
two trips to Mossman Post Office to retrieve a parcel for her.
